Election Symbols

I see a lot of lobbying for student body elections. Politics makes me stay away. But i really like the concept of soap box. A lot more can be added to increase my interest levels. Having election symbols for each candidate is one of them.

Let's see what kind of election symbols some of our friends might have : (Pure Imagination. Don't kill me for this)

1. Doctor - Vertical Bed
2. Vedhus - Dates (commodity; not services)
3. Fresher Moorthy - Chai
4. Preyoshi - Weighing Scale (can apply to Moorthy too!)
5. Ramki - Any food item will do.
6. Sonali - A large handbag.
7. Peter - Bicycle
8. Aditi - Origami
9. Arjun - Tractor
10. Madhuri - Sweets

That's all i could manage before my hands freeze. Feel free to add anything in comments. Will write more if the mercury rises. But don't let it desist you from voting responsibly. Ciao :)

DISCLAIMER - The contents of this blog do not confirm the participation of the above mentioned noble souls in the upcoming elections. Nor does it indicate any kind of support that i may or may not extend towards them, in case they contest. And also, whatever is stated in this disclaimer, i may or may not follow :)

Finally .....

Its been 2 months. The blog has gone from a daily..... to a weekly..... to a monthly.... mode. So, before the harsh winters arrive (and i become too lazy to type), let me get my hands dirty again.

But after all these newsletters (don't know how many actually got/read it), i'm in the reporting mode. Seeking pre-paid apologies.

My take on various events ...

UWL 2.0
  • Blogs - I followed the fake UWL player's blog. Good job. Wish it was more frequent. For all those who were speculating, as to who he/she is, i ask you, how does it matter? With the rumor mills getting stronger after each event, don't each of us belong to that category? He opts to write, while we prefer verbal volleys.
P.S - I did not write any comments on your blog. Believe me, i didn't have the time to create a new 'fake' profile.
  • Over my choice of team - Well, I got creative freedom and a nice team to work with. Thanks to everybody who appreciated the small website we put together.
  • Cheer(lead)ing - I think it made the games more enjoyable.
  • Duration - It was too long
Elections

Quick, efficient and candid.

Alum Nite - I

  • If the guests are only bothered about drinks, why not have it at a pub the next time? It was hilarious to see them run even before the event officially ended, as if somebody just found a gold mine.
In fact, drinks should be served as soon as the guests arrive. At least there will be a place for everybody to sit.
  • Alum of the year speech should be restricted to 5 mins.
  • Food was delicious. Only wish that the cooks in our mess can re-engineer these basic food items
  • The dance floor rocks as always. Its ironical to see the boring sarkari atrium turning into a disc with unlimited capacity.
 Alum Nite - II
  • 84 batch rocks till now....
  • ...but they drink too slow. had to wait till their round was over.
  •  Yesterday's food was far better ... but anything other than the mess is a good option.
 Bidding

I leave it to your sources or, wait till a fakeladybidder blog springs up :)
